Interpreters and the booth, from one supplier in Muscat.

Most conference interpreting in Oman arrives as two separate problems. You find interpreters. Then you find a booth, a distribution system and receivers, and hope the two arrive on the same day and work together.
Badr Al Bayan is both. We are a licensed translation and interpreting company in Muscat, working since 2009, and we supply the interpreters and the system together. One supplier, one point of contact, one invoice.
We are listed by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office on its “Find a professional service abroad” service for translators and interpreters in Oman.
Interpreting booth. A sound-isolated booth built to conference standards, with ventilation, working light and clear sightlines to the floor and the screen. An interpreter who cannot see the speaker cannot do the job properly, and a booth that overheats degrades an hour in.
GONSIN, Taiden or Bosch. We work with all three of the systems used across the Gulf, so we can match whatever your venue or your AV contractor already runs. If your last event was on Bosch, your crew does not have to relearn anything. We deliver, install, test before the room fills, and operate the system through the session.
The system is sized to the event. Tell us the number of delegates and the language pairs, and we specify the channels, the receivers and the microphones to match. You are not fitted into somebody else’s standard package.
Booth and system are also available on their own, with or without our interpreters.

Simultaneous — the interpreter works from the booth in real time while the speaker talks. For conferences, ministerial events and anything with an agenda that cannot afford to run twice as long.
Consecutive — the speaker pauses, the interpreter delivers. For bilateral meetings, court hearings, site visits and interviews. No equipment needed, but it doubles the time on the clock.
Remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI) — participants join from anywhere and hear the session live in their own language. No booth in the room, no travel for interpreters, no equipment to ship. Suited to hybrid events and to speakers or audiences spread across more than one country.
We will tell you which of the three fits your event. Sometimes the answer is the cheapest one.
Government events, ministerial meetings and official ceremonies. Corporate conferences, board meetings and training. Exhibitions and trade events. Courts, arbitration and legal proceedings. Medical and technical conferences.
Arabic and English are our core working pair, handled by our own interpreters. For other languages we draw on a network of professional linguists worldwide — tell us the pair and the dates and we will confirm what we can field for your event.
To quote, we need five things: the dates and running times; the language pairs and direction; the venue and room, including whether there is space and power for a booth; how many delegates need receivers; and the subject matter, with any papers or slides you can share in advance. The last one matters more than clients expect — an interpreter who has read the agenda beforehand performs differently from one who has not.

Tell us the dates, the languages and the room, and we will tell you what the setup needs and what it costs. Muscat, since 2009 — +968 9275 4977 · info@badrbayan.com
Translation deals with written text, while interpretation focuses on spoken communication. Interpreters listen and instantly convey the message in another language, ensuring live, accurate communication between speakers.
Rates vary based on duration, location, language pair, and equipment. On average, professional onsite interpretation event costs around OMR 550 per day, less or more depending on the complexity and subject matter. We provide transparent quotes before every project.
